Grant, Lisa, Jamie, Devan & Macaulie came to visit, and Grant has a new 7.5 sail to try out.

We went out about 11am, as we knew that there wasn't much of a tide, so we had best catch it coming and going.

The wind was light so we rigged our 7.5's and Sarah her 7.0. Grant, Sarah and I were blasting too and fro, attempting gybes, and generally having a great time. Grant and I had a good blast from the point where the Leri meets the Dyfi back to Ynyslas, it was a really good long reach and we were only feet apart, (trying desperately to beat the other one for speed). Afterwards we both commented on how good it was, and how we were both going at about the same speed, (without showing any sign of competitiveness {i.e. hiding out disappointment}).

Sarah was on the Xantos, but it was a bit of a struggle in the conditions, (although very fast). She had a better time when she switched to the Pheonix and could make her gybes.

All three of us were blasting about until we ran out of water. Actually it didn't matter much as the wind swung west and you could sail along the Leri channel.

When Grant and I came in Lisa went out. (Well someone had to look after the kids). Sarah and Lisa had a bit of a play.

After they had finished Jamie (age 9) went out on a 2.8 Kiddie rig. Grant went paddling behind and I was running along the bank. Jamie did a lot better than we were expecting and we couldn't keep up. He dropped the sail, which worried us, but promptly picked it up again and carried on, (which worried us even more).

By the time we finished it was almost 6pm; each of us had a good sail, and it proved an excellent day. All in all as good as it gets.
